Process

From first call to funds in the bank

No mystery, no radio silence. Here is exactly what happens and roughly how long each part takes.

The four stages

The first call — 20 minutes

What the money is for, what your last two years look like, and when you need it. We will tell you on that call whether it is fundable.

Shortlisting — same day

We soft-search the panel and come back with two or three realistic routes, with indicative rates and what each lender will want to see.

Submission — 1 to 3 days

We package the application properly. A well-presented file is the single biggest factor in getting a yes at a good rate.

Offer and drawdown — 2 to 10 days

Terms in writing, a call to walk you through them, then legals and funds. Property-backed deals take longer because of valuation.

What you will need

Have these ready

  • Two years of filed accounts
  • Six months of business bank statements
  • Up-to-date management figures
  • Details of any existing finance
  • Director ID and proof of address

Tell us up front if

  • You have a live CCJ or default
  • You have missed VAT or PAYE payments
  • The business trades under twelve months
  • There is an existing charge over assets
  • A previous application was declined recently

Common questions about the process

For most unsecured lending: two years of filed accounts, six months of business bank statements, and up-to-date management figures. Property and asset deals need more. We give you one complete list at the start rather than drip-feeding requests.
Four working days is typical on a straightforward unsecured case, measured from first call to funds. Asset finance runs about a week. Commercial mortgages take six to twelve weeks because of valuation and legals.
Someone calls you the same working day for a twenty-minute conversation about the position. If it is fundable, you will have shortlisted options with indicative rates within twenty-four hours.
Usually yes, but the terms vary enormously. Some lenders charge no early settlement fee at all, others charge the full remaining interest. This is one of the things we compare, and it is often worth more than a small difference in headline rate.
Under twelve months of trading is difficult but not impossible. The realistic routes are asset finance, merchant cash advance where you take card payments, or a personally guaranteed facility. We will be straight with you about which.
